BLOOMINGTON – Lakeland's Kloee Fitch finished seventh in the discus at the IHSAA Girls State Track Finals. Churubusco’s Katie Monk was runner-up in the discuss. Abby Hostetler of Fremont was third in the 1600 meters and 24th in the 800 meters. Kennedy Trine of Angola finished fourth in the pole vault.
UNDATED - Lakeland sends six athletes to today’s boys track and field state meet. Nick Byler, Evan Garretson, Eric Herber, Taylor Raatz, Mishael Theis, and Joseph Trost will compete for the Lakers.
KENDALLVILLE – Leo, East Noble and Carroll finished in the top three and advanced a teams to the IHSAA golf Regional. Angola was seventh and Fremont eighth. East Noble's Michael Sharp was medalist with a 69.
BATTLE CREEK – The White Pigeon boys golf team was in third place after day one of the Division 4 State Golf finals at Bedford Valley GC. The Chiefs shot a 328 and was seven strokes behind Charlevoix. Andrew Mann led the Chiefs with a round of 76. In the Individual finals, Centreville's Logan Heffner shot an 85.
EMMA - Westview High School announced yesterday the boys basketball team will open the 2014-15 season by playing in the Indiana Wesleyan University tournament. The Warriors will take on Greenville, Norwell, Tri-West and Indianapolis Brebuf.
