INDIANAPOLIS – Fremont High School will move down to single-A in next year's softball state tournament.
The IHSAA announced class groupings for the coming two years this week.
Prairie Heights and Westview remain in class 2-A and Lakeland will stay in class 3-A, but the Lakers find themselves four places above the cut-off line for class 2-A. Fairfield is just two places above the cut-off.
There were no local changes in the classification of schools for the baseball tournament. Westview and Prairie Heights remain in 2-A and Lakeland in 3-A.
