ROME CITY – New Freedom Baptist Church in Lagrange is sponsoring a benefit Saturday for Winston Boggs.

Boggs is undergoing cancer treatment and recently lost his medical insurance.

The benefit will begin at noon at the Orange Township Fire Department in Rome City.

A haystack dinner along with hot dogs and chips will be served starting at noon. Meals will be served at a free will donation.

Gospel singing begins at 12:30 and an auction starts at 4 p-m.

A bake sale will run all day.

All proceeds will go to help the family pay medical expenses.
