Pickup truck stolen at gunpoint in Sturgis

STURGIS – A Sturgis resident’s pickup truck was stolen at gunpoint Wednesday morning.

Sturgis Police say it happened in the 200 block of North Prospect around 5 a-m.

The resident started the truck and left it running while he went back inside.

He noticed the suspect dressed in black get into the truck and when he opened the door to stop him the suspect pointed a handgun at him.

The white 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 crew cab has a dent in the passenger door and Michigan plate CKR 2762.

If you spot the vehicle don’t approach it. The suspect is considered armed and dangerous. Call Sturgis Police or Central Dispatch.
