Mendon Holds Graduation In Parking Lot

(MENDON) – Mendon High School held their 142nd graduation ceremony Sunday afternoon as scheduled, just in a different location.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the restrictions on large gatherings, graduation was held in the High School parking lot. High School Principal Robert Kretchman offered a big thanks to the community for making this ceremony happen. ...... {LISTEN}.

Kretchman says this is a special time for the Class of 2020. ...... {LISTEN}.

The graduates have received 446 college credits through CTE and dual enrollment opportunities. They have also received $125,000 in scholarships from the Mendon Foundation and other sources.

Kretchman says the Mendon Class of 2020 is more than ready for the next phase of their lives. He shared that many were going on to college or advanced certificate training. Some were entering the workforce and some were joining the Armed Forces.
