(COLDWATER) – A popular Coldwater drive in restaurant is closed temporarily after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.

Shorts Root Beer Stand, located at 378 West Chicago Road in Coldwater, announced Wednesday on their Facebook page that they are closed until August 24. They received a report that an employee had tested positive for the coronavirus, and the employee had last worked on August 8.

The message went on to say the owners had been in direct communication with the Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency and decided to close immediately. That went into effect at 4 PM Wednesday.

Owners say they are sorry for the inconvenience.
