(COLDWATER) – A Branch County facility has announced they are halting all in person visits until further notice.

Jayne Sabaitis, Administrator for Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility and Rehabilitation in Coldwater spoke with Swick Broadcasting and says four more of their residents have tested positive for COVID-19, leading them to make this decision.

Visits to the facility will be stopped until Maple Lawn can meet the threshold of not having any positive COVID-19 tests for 14 days. Sabaitis says group dining and other group activities will be discontinued as well until the threshold is achieved.

Any visits with residents of Maple Lawn can be done as window visits, by telephone or virtually.

If family members want to take a resident out of Maple Lawn they can, but Sabaitis is asking for out of facility trips to not happen, unless it's for a medical appointment.
