Union City Police Investigating Vehicle Fire And Vandalization

(UNION CITY) – The Union City Police Department is investigating the arson of a vehicle and the break in to several others.
Officers say a pick up was parked at Robbins Auto Parks and Service, located and 948 North Broadway Street. It was set on fire around 7 AM Friday, and four other vehicles located nearby were broken into. The vehicle, a 2005 Chevy Colorado was destroyed in the fire.
Police say the majority of the items taken from the other vehicles were later found near a nearby tree line.
A K-9 officer was brought but the search was not successful.
Police also say some vehicles were also reported to have been gone through at a nearby repair shop along M-60.
The incidents are still being investigated. Anyone with information is asked to call the Union City Police Department.
