Indiana Unemployment Rate Down In September

(INDIANAPOLIS) – Indiana's unemployment rate dropped slightly from August to September.
The Indiana Department of Workforce Development says the State's unemployment rate dropped from 4.1 percent in August to an even 4 percent in September. The State's labor force had a net decrease of 1,439 from August to September. This is a result of a decrease of 2,595 unemployed residents and an increase of 1,156 employed residents.
Indiana's total labor force, which includes both Hoosiers employed and those seeking employment, stands at 3.34 million.
Indiana's 4 percent unemployment rate for September is below the national rate of 4.8 percent for the same month.
