(BRONSON) - Host Bronson swept a Big 8 Conference softball double header from Union City 6-5 and 12-2. Coach Becky Gray says her Lady Vikings did not play well and were lucky to come away with 2 wins. Madison Shaw got the win in game one, striking out 6 in 2 innings. Ashlynn Harris then went 5 innings, giving up 8 hits, 5 runs and striking out 7. Shaw also won game two going 5 innings with 11 strikeouts and giving up 5 hits. At the plate, Lydia Wells had 3 hits including a home run and 3 RBI. Roni Bir also had a homer and 3 RBI and Makenna Arnett had 3 RBI. Bronson improves to 7-1 overall on the season and 2-0 in the Big 8.
