Three Rivers softball posts 2-1 day at Escanaba Tournament

(ESCANABA) - The Three Rivers softball team made the trip to the Upper Peninsula and went 2-1 in the Escanaba Tournament. The Lady Wildcats beat Norway 9-1, lost to Escanaba 11-6 and then beat Millington 11-1 in 5 innings. Gia Newburry got the pitching wins in games 1 and 3, striking out 18 batters on the day. At the plate Newburry had a home run and 6 RBI while Ashlynn Barnes had two home runs and 4 RBI. Three Rivers improves to 19-6.
