(FREMONT) - A Coldwater man was arrested following a two state pursuit over the weekend.
The Indiana State Police says at 11:45 PM Saturday, they heard radio traffic from the Branch County Sheriff's Office that they were in pursuit of a white SUV that was heading towards Indiana. The suspect vehicle crashed into a metal garbage container, which struck a second vehicle causing damage.
The pursuit entered Steuben County and ended in Fremont near the 3000 block of County Road 700 North when the vehicle crashed again.
The driver, 21 year old Jefferson Ridgway, was arrested on a felony charge of resisting law enforcement with a vehicle, and misdemeanor charges of possession of a controlled substance and leaving the scene of a property damage crash.
Ridgway is being held in the Steuben County Jail.
