By: Tim Murray - Friday, January 24, 2020

LAGRANGE – LaGrange County government is getting some new technology.

The county commissioners approved the purchase this week of 65 new computers and 145 monitors as part of the annual refresh of some of the county’s technology.

The purchase from I-T Savy in Addison, Illinois will cost the county $62,900 and was already budgeted.

Each county commissioner will get his own new laser printer as well.

I-T Director Bob Murphy told the commissioners there will be additional software purchases to follow, including new copies of Microsoft Office for those computers.

Murphy has prepared a request for proposals for a new website system for the county. One of the goals of the remake is to reduce website hosting fees for the county.
