(BUTLER) – One person is dead and two others wounded following a shooting incident Friday night near Butler.

Indiana State Police say at approximately 8:47 PM, the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office responded to a call of shots fired in a residence in the 5,000 block of County Road 22. When they arrived, deputies found two men and a woman suffering from gunshot wounds, and started life saving measures.

All three were taken to Parkview North Hospital in Fort Wayne. One of the men was pronounced dead at the hospital. An autopsy is scheduled.

The investigation is continuing.
