(UNDATED) – Repair work and electric restoration efforts continue to go well in the aftermath of last week's storms.

The City of Sturgis says as of Monday night, existing outages for City electric customers is down to 120.

City officials continue to ask customers to use the 24 hour outage reporting system at 269-659-7255 if you have any new issues. If you receive a call back from the system, please make sure to verify whether or not your service has been restored. This helps the City identify that issues are truly resolved.

Consumers Energy is reporting that 1427 customers in St. Joseph County and 1087 Branch County customers are still without electricity. It's anticipated that they will be back online between late this afternoon and later tonight, depending on how repair efforts go today.

Indiana Michigan Power says all of their customers are now back on line. The final 86 residents in the Three Rivers area had their power restored Monday.

In a related story, Glen Oaks Community College will accommodate over 80 Consumers Energy electrical workers and contractors in the Devier Student Suites Residence Hall over the next two days.

This is being done to help expedite power restoration efforts.

Consumers Energy began staging its trucks on the Glen Oaks campus over the last few days as crews worked to make repairs and restore power around St. Joseph county and the area.
