(THREE RIVERS) – Three people were injured when a vehicle drove into a building in downtown Three Rivers.

The Three Rivers Police Department was called to investigate a report of a vehicle crashing into a building in the downtown area just after 3 AM Saturday. Officers found a Dodge Charger that was stuck in a building. The car crashed into the entryway of an apartment staircase, and the front left side of the structure.

Police say when they arrived, the driver and one of the passengers had gotten out of the vehicle and were injured. Another passenger was trapped into the vehicle.

First responders removed the trapped individual and that person was flown to a Kalamazoo hospital to be treated for their injuries. The other two individuals were treated at Beacon Health Systems Three Rivers for their injuries.

Police believe alcohol may have been a factor in the crash, which is still being investigated.
