(JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP) – Two people were sent to the hospital after a two vehicle crash.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Department says their deputies were called out at 11:45 PM Friday to investigate a crash in Jefferson Township. Investigators say a 28 year old Granger, Indiana woman was driving her Jeep northwest on M-60 when she crossed the center line and crashed into a car heading southeast, and driven by a 60 year old Niles woman.

Deputies say the driver of the car, and a passenger in the Jeep, a 30 year old South Bend man, were both taken to the hospital to be treated for their injuries. No information has been given on their condition, or the condition of the driver of the Jeep.

Everyone was wearing their seatbelt at the time of the crash, and deputies say alcohol may have been a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
