(STURGIS) – The Christmas season can be a difficult time for people financially.

One organization is doing their part to ease that burden.

The Salvation Army of St. Joseph and Branch Counties is holding their annual Red Kettle Campaign. The kettles are set up in businesses for citizens to drop in what money they can. Major Tim Sell of the local Salvation Army says earlier this year when they needed food for their pantry, the community helped out. He’s hoping for the same response at Christmas time. ...... {LISTEN}.

If you would like to sign up to ring bells at a Kettle location for a two hour block, you can call the Sturgis Salvation Army Office at 269-651-4275. You can also sign up on line. Click Here. You can make a pledge on the website as well.

Along with the Kettle Campaign, the Salvation Army has also set up their Angel Tree for 2023. Major Sally Sell says she has put Angel Trees at several locations around St. Joseph and Branch Counties. There are tags that say boy or girl and then an age range.

Sally Sell explains how the community can help. ...... {LISTEN}.

The Sells say you can sign up for more than one bell ringing slot during the season.
