LAGRANGE – LaGrange County graduation rates surpassed the state average in 2018.

The Indiana Department of Education released the data yesterday showing Westview’s graduation rate was 96.43%, Prairie Heights was 94.85%, Lakeland was 92.75%, and Howe Military 92.31%.

The statewide waiver graduation rate was 88.1%...up from 87.19% the previous year.

“With the increase to Indiana’s graduation rate, it is evident our schools are committed to the academic success of our students,” said Dr. Jennifer McCormick, Indiana Superintendent of Public Instruction. “While there is still work to be done, we will continue to partner with local districts to ensure every student graduates prepared for life beyond high school.”

Ten students did not graduate at Lakeland, five at Prairie Heights, four at Westview, and one at Howe Military.
