(ANGOLA) - The Angola City Council approved a eight year tax abatement on Monday night for Lomont Holdings which is doing business as Illuminated Image at 1825 West Maumee for $400,000 worth of new manufacturing equipment. Company President Von Lomont says the expansion will lead to the hiring of ten new employees in the first year of the abatement. It's hoped the abatement will eventually lead to the hiring of as many as 20 additional employees. Illuminated Image currently has a workforce of 45. The new equipment would include a lathe, a press brake and a squaring sheer. Steuben County Economic Development Corporation Executive Director Dave Koenig says the state of Indiana pitched in with $25,000 in training funds and up to $50,000 in additional tax credits.
