(CONSTANTINE) – It's been almost six and a half years since 11 year old Jodi Parrack was found dead in the Constantine Township Cemetery.

It was her mother, Jo Gilson, who found Jodi's body that November night in 2007. Now Gilson is hoping more answers will be coming, following the arrest of a man.

The Michigan State Police 5th District Cold Case Team arrested 46 year old Raymond Emmett McCann on Friday on a charge of perjury in relation to the Jodi Parrack murder investigation. Trooper Bryan Fuller says the arrest warrant was issued after investigators found too many inconsistencies between what McCann said happened in 2007 and what actually did happen.

McCann was a reserve Constantine Police officer at the time of Jodi's murder, and was considered a person of interest. He was suspended and later resigned.

Gilson says she won't rest until all of the information surrounding her daughter's murder has been revealed. ...... {LISTEN}.

Gilson says she's known McCann since she was 16 years old. She says she always thought McCann had more knowledge about Jodi's death than he shared, but it wasn't until three years ago that she really became convinced he was not telling everything.

Despite her suspicions, Gilson says she has remained friends with the McCann family, and especially Raymond's sister-in-law Julie McCann. ...... {LISTEN}.

Julie McCann says she would never think that Raymond would be involved in something like this, but over the last few years he has distanced himself from his family.

Gilson says she knows Ray McCann is lying, but just not sure if it's to protect himself or someone else. McCann will have a preliminary hearing on the perjury charge on May 1st.
