(ANGOLA) – No injuries were reported during a fire Sunday morning.
Angola Fire Chief Bill Harter says his department was called to a residential structure fire at 206 South Superior Street at 4:07 AM Sunday. When crews arrived they could seen flames from the rear of the structure.
While battling the blaze, firefighters found the fire had spread to the second floor of the residence. The Fremont, Metz and Steuben Township Fire Departments responded and provided mutual aid in putting out the fire, which took approximately 45 minutes.
Harter says the homeowner had working smoke detectors, that allowed all of the occupants to get out safely.
