Some of the new duties Cox will be responsible for include the installation and proper timing and maintenance of traffic control devices; conducting engineering analysis of traffic accidents and to devise remedial measures; planning the operation of traffic on the streets, including the parking areas; regulating the movement and parking of vehicles within the municipality and cooperating with other City officials in the development of ways and means to improve traffic conditions.
