Detroit 5, Kansas City 2 – Jake Rogers' solo homerun gives the Tigers a 4-1 lead against the Royals. Detroit would beat Kansas City 5-2.
Cleveland 6, Minnesota 2 – Roberto Perez's RBI single in the top of the fifth gives the Indians a 5-0 lead against the Twins. Cleveland would beat Minnesota 6-2.
