(INDIANAPOLIS) - A new nonprofit with close ties to President Donald Trump has launched a major advertising campaign to support Republican-led redistricting efforts in Indiana. Fair Maps Indiana, a 501(c)(4) organization chaired by Trump ally Marty Obst, began a six-figure campaign Monday to push for new congressional maps that could give Republicans two additional U.S. House seats. Obst said the group plans to ?educate voters and urge them to contact their senators? to support redistricting during the upcoming legislative session.

Gov. Mike Braun called lawmakers back to the Statehouse for a special session on Nov. 3, but redistricting work was delayed until Dec. 1. The effort focuses on turning Indiana?s two Democratic-held congressional districts Republican ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.

While GOP leaders in the Indiana House reportedly have enough support to pass new maps, some Senate Republicans remain hesitant. Fair Maps Indiana?s campaign will focus on those senators, using phone outreach, digital and TV ads, and mailers.

Obst, a longtime Indiana political strategist, worked on Trump?s presidential campaigns and served as an adviser to former Vice President Mike Pence. Other national political operatives on the team include Chris LaCivita, Chip Englander, and John Brabender.

Politico first reported the group?s formation, calling it a project of Defending America?s Comeback Inc. Obst said funding sources for the nonprofit will not be publicly disclosed unless an affiliated Super PAC is formed.
