(NOTTAWA TOWNSHIP) - A Sturgis man was killed in a traffic crash in Nottawa Township.
St. Joseph County Sheriff Chad Spence says at 6:20 AM Wednesday a vehicle was traveling west on M-86 near Findley Road and attempted to pass a semi. The vehicle struck an eastbound automobile head on.
Lifesaving efforts were started at the scene, but the driver of the westbound vehicle, 68 year old Thomas Lang of Sturgis, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Michigan State Police and Life Care Ambulance assisted at the scene.
