(BRONSON) - A gasoline explosion in a bonfire Friday night sent two people to the hospital.
Bronson Fire Chief Scott Wilber says the Bronson Fire Department and the Branch County Sheriff's Office were called just after 8 PM Friday to the northwest area of Bronson for an explosion. When first responders arrived they found the bonfire had been put out by a family member.
The individuals who were injured were taken by Life Care Ambulance to the Bronson Methodist Hospital Burn Unit to be treated.
Wilber says their investigation determined that someone poured gasoline into the fire, causing the explosion.
