(SILVER CREEK TOWNSHIP) - The Cass County Sheriff's Office is searching for the driver and vehicle in a fatal hit and run accident.
Sheriff Clint Roach says at 9:49 AM Sunday, deputies were called to M-152 near Pleasant Street in Silver Creek Township. They determined that 24 year old Timothy Johnson of Benton Harbor was walking on M-152 when an unknown vehicle struck Johnson and drove away.
Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene due to his injuries.
Assisting deputies were the Sister Lakes Fire Department along with SMCAS Ambulance.
