(HAMILTON) - For the third straight year, Sturgis' Vivian Massey is a State Champion. On Saturday Massey won the Division 2 Shot Put Adaptive with a throw of 16 feet 6.5 inches and was named All State. Other members of the Lady Trojans also had great days at the State Finals. Sydney Bir finished fourth in the 400 meters, Angela Cary was tenth in the high jump; Berkley Holtz was 19th in the 1600 meters, while Juliet Mendoza Rangel was 21st in the 300 meter hurdles. Tessa Hatt finished 22nd in the 800 meters and Kenzie Eicher was 20th in the 300 meter hurdles. In addition, the 3200 meter relay team of Sydney Bir, Tessa Hatt, Kinder Smith and Berkley Holtz finished third and were named All State. The 1600 meter relay team of Smith, Holtz, Bir and Olvia Green finished eighth and selected All State. The 800 meter relay team of Bir, Smith, Cary and Addison Eicher finished 19th.
