(INDIANAPOLIS) - Unemployment rates went up around Northeast Indiana in May.
Data released by the Indiana Department of Workforce Development shows that LaGrange County went from 2.3% to 2.8% over the month.
Noble County increased from 2.5% to 3.1%. Steuben County saw their unemployment rate go from 2.6% to 3.1% while Elkhart County went from 2.7% to 3.3%. DeKalb County increased from 2.3% to 2.9%.
Cities around Northeast Indiana also had an increase in their unemployment during May.
The City of Elkhart watched their unemployment increase from 3.1% to 3.5%. Goshen rose from 3% to 3.6% and Fort Wayne from 2.6% to 3.1%.
