(LAGRANGE) - The LaGrange County Commission is recommending a wage increase for employees in 2027.
During Monday's meeting, the Commission was presented with a wage increase recommendation by fellow Commissioner Kevin Myers, who also sits on the Wage and Salary Committee.
Myers says in 2025 a 3% wage increase was approved for County employees while the cost of living was up 3.7%. Then in 2026 another 3% wage increase was approved for employees while the cost of living was up just over 3%. The recommendation for 2027 is a 5% wage increase. (LISTEN ABOVE)
The Commissioners agreed to present the recommendation to the LaGrange County Council for their consideration.
