(UNION TOWNSHIP) - An ATV crash claimed the life of a 26 year old Union City woman.
According to Michigan State Police, an ATV was traveling west on Sullivan Road near Braucker Road in Union Township at 9 PM Friday. The operator lost control after passing another vehicle, left the roadway and struck a tree.
Life saving measures were administered, but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers say the woman was not wearing a helmet and alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.
The Union City Fire Department and Life Care Ambulance assisted at the scene.
The crash is still being investigated.
