(LAGRANGE) - What started as a one-day event has grown into a five day festival.
The 119th annual LaGrange County Corn School starts on Tuesday.
Corn School began in 1906 as a one-day event that allowed local school boys to display what was grown in their agriculture classes. It has blossomed over the years into a mini-street carnival that still keeps its roots in showing local items that are grown, but also includes other events and activities such as food vendors and the midway.
Tuesday from 12 PM until 9 PM is when the entry of exhibits will take place.
At 5 PM registration will start for the Beautiful Baby Contest, which will get underway at 5:30 PM.
The Midway opens at 6 PM. At 6:30 PM the antique, classic and future car cruise in will take place in the Farmers State Bank parking lot.
Then at 7:30 PM the Corn School Parade will step off.
