(STURGIS) - There's a contested race for one of the Fourth Precinct seats Tuesday on the Sturgis City Commission.
Incumbent City Commissioner Frank Perez, who also serves as the Sturgis Mayor, is being challenged by Stoney Summey.
The other candidates running for seats on the Commission are unopposed. In the First Precinct, Barry Cox is not being challenged for the seat currently held by Jeff Mullins, who is not seeking re-election.
In the Second Precinct, incumbent Commissioner Justin Wickey is not being opposed for another term. Daniel Boring is not seeking re-election for another term representing the Second Precinct. Michael Anderson is a write in candidate for that seat.
There will be no candidate on the ballot for the vacant Third Precinct seat, previously held by Linda Harrington, who stepped down earlier this year.
Incumbent At-Large Commissioner Aaron Miller is also running unopposed.
Polls will be open Tuesday until 8 PM.
