(CALVIN TOWNSHIP) - What started as an assault investigation resulted in arrests on drug charges.
Cass County Sheriff Clint Roach says his deputies were dispatched on December 23 at 7 PM for a report of a felonious assault in the 1800 block of Brownsville Street in Calvin Township. While conducting an arrest for the assault, deputies located methamphetamine and meth paraphernalia.
A search warrant was obtained and the Cass County Drug Enforcement Team helped execute the warrant. Officers found more meth in the dwelling.
A 59 year old woman was arrested and charges are being sough for possession of meth and maintaining a drug house. A 28 year old man was arrested for felonious assault and possession of meth, and a 21 year old woman was arrested for possession of meth.
Their names have not yet been released.
