(BURR OAK) – The first of five candidates have been interviewed for the position of Burr Oak Superintendent.
Monday night the Burr Oak Board of Education interviewed Mr. Scott Henwood, who is the Middle School Principal for L’Anse Creuse Public Schools, and Dr. Kelvin Butts, the Superintendent of Benton Harbor Area Schools.
The Board of Education asked each candidate several questions. One of the questions was to describe their leadership style. Henwood was the first of the two to be interviewed and says in the past he considered himself a Servant Leader. Lately he feels his leadership style is more like a coach.
Butts was asked the same question and describes his leadership style as a Transitional Leader. He explains that it is his job to train teachers and leaders to move up and take over for the people that are ahead of them.
