(HOWARD TOWNSHIP) – Two drivers were injured when their vehicles collided in Cass County’s Howard Township.

Sheriff Clint Roach says at 7:46 AM Thursday 57 year old Karen Stanton of Osceola, Indiana was driving west on Yankee Street, while 54 year old Jovita Holly of Niles was heading north on Carberry Road. Deputies say that Holly failed to stop at the stop sign, entered the intersection and crashed into Stanton’s vehicle.

Both drivers were taken to South Bend Memorial Hospital to be treated for their injuries.

Assisting at the scene were the Howard Township and the Niles Fire Departments along with the SMCAS Ambulance Service. The crash remains under investigation.
