Inmate Found Dead In Elkhart County Jail

(GOSHEN) – Authorities are investigating the death of an inmate at the Elkhart County Jail.

Elkhart County Sheriff’s Deputies found the unresponsive inmate in the medical unit at 7 AM Sunday. They began CPR and called for an ambulance. Medics arrived and determined the inmate was dead.

The Elkhart County Homicide Unit and the Elkhart County Coroner are handling the investigation.
