(CALVIN TOWNSHIP) – A man is dead in following a collision between a pickup and a tractor.

Michigan State Police from the Niles Post say they were called to investigate a crash at 3:30 PM Wednesday in Cass County’s Calvin Township.

A pickup was driving south on Calvin Center Road near Calvin Hill Street and struck the back of a tractor that was also moving south. The driver of the tractor, a 73 year old Cassopolis man, was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

The pickup driver, a 36 year old Marcellus man, and his passengers, received minor injuries.

MSP say that distracted driving may have played a part in the crash, which is still under investigation.
